Period 4 on the dumbells

On dumbell days, students customize their workouts to their needs and apply what they've learned all semester. They mix in dumbell exercises with core exercises, getting a well-rounded workout.

Looks like some back and pillar core exercises.
The girls take a break from their core workout.

Period 1 running the bleachers

Students are grouped into three different stations and learn the skill-related benefits of developing speed and power while running/walking the bleachers of our beautiful stadium. We also check heart rates for cardiovascular benefits as well. It's hard work but it pays off.

Speedball action: Period 5

Students in all classes learned the modified game of 'Speedball.' This provides an alternative to performing their typical cardio workout such as running and biking. In our class, points are allowed five different ways, giving the students a strategic challenge in obtaining points.
Here are some pics of Period 5 in action.
